A peer outreach initiative that helps incarcerated individuals learn about available support services and resources.
The Facility Representatives initiative allows incarcerated individuals to help share information about Inmates Services within their correctional facility.
Representatives help ensure that individuals who may benefit from support services are aware of available resources and understand how to request assistance.
Facility representatives may assist by:
• sharing information about available services
• helping others understand how to request assistance
• distributing informational materials where permitted
• helping connect individuals with resources available through Inmates Services
Representatives act as informational contacts within their facility and help expand access to support services.
Participants in the program may receive informational materials and discounted services as part of their involvement.
The goal of the program is to encourage peer support and expand access to assistance within correctional facilities.
Incarcerated individuals who are interested in becoming a Facility Representative may contact Inmates Services to request program information and eligibility requirements.
Friends or family members are also welcome to contact us on behalf of an interested individual if direct communication is not possible.
* Program participation may vary depending on facility policies and communication limitations.
